Over time, Nyxxa had grown more accustomed to using Azgadaan’s dream spell. As such, the forest she had crafted began to feel more like an actual forest rather than an imitation of one.
The trees now had more variation, and though most of them were still bare and gnarled they reached up far beyond the point where she could see their tops. The fountain and the statue of the woman in the center of it all hadn’t changed, but there was a more distinctness to the flowers and vines that attempted to overtake it. The biggest difference of all was the sounds of night creatures that quietly reverberated from time to time, though the creatures themselves were unseen if they were actually there at all. It hadn’t all flooded back at once, but trickled in slowly as she had regained some barings on her mind. This place she had created had become more familiar. An echo of Kalimdor, perhaps. Nonetheless, Nyxxa found this echo comforting.
Any comfort was helpful towards calming her nerves. Not that she was scared of this meeting. But, there was a lot that she wanted to say. And she was going to have a big ask. So much bigger then anything she had the right to ask of him. That would never not make Nyxxa worry, she told herself, no matter who it was she was talking to.
Not to mention- despite trying to convince herself it wasn’t actually a big deal- there was a nervousness in how overwhelmingly green the place appeared to those who didn’t ‘see’ as she did. Given how strong certain reactions had been to the amount of green in the past, she couldn’t help but to have a slight self-consciousness about it.
Thus, to calm her nerves and to prevent herself from pacing about the place, the satyr did as she had grown accustomed to while waiting for someone else in her dream. She practiced the flute, improvising whatever melodies came to her mind as she sat on the stones surrounding her overgrown fountain.
It’ll be fine. I mean, if Khadgar’s still talking to me after everything else I’ve already told him, it’ll probably still be fine. Probably.
Despite her attempts to distract herself, her thoughts plagued her still.
Though, I’ve likely dropped my guard down way too much. Gotta tone it down a little. Just because he’s way too nice to me doesn’t give me permission to act like an idiot.
Her lips paused as the thought crossed her mind.
More of an idiot.
She resumed playing.
I still hope he’s not bothered by the green...
