As Alstroe walked through the wyvern stables, she made certain to make herself inconspicuous. The chilly autumn air made it easier, no one was really suspicious of the thick brown cloak she used to conceal herself.
She was quick to find who she was looking for. Mistral.
The woman had joined Connor’s Guard shortly before Alstroe had… left the palace. She had seen the woman in glances, and heard many rumors, but they had never formally been introduced.
Odd that one of Connor’s closest soldiers would endeavor to speak to her. Unless…
No. That was unlikely. From what she gleamed from Davian’s reports, Misty’s allegiances were a bit complicated. So then what?
Regardless, Davian had spoken highly of her, as did the mission reports. It was unlikely that she would use a situation like this to attempt something.
“Mistral, I presume,” Alstroe said. She smiled warmly and extended a hand. “I don’t believe we’ve been formally introduced, but I’ve heard quite a bit about you from our mutual friend… and your son of course. All stellar things.”
